McLaren have added front splitters and front and rear diffusers as well as a fully-adjustable rear wing. It has got a race-prepared 3.8L V8 twin turbo McLaren M838T with McLaren Electronics ECU incorporated turbo boost and transmission shift control. Its six-speed sequential motorsport transmission is pneumatically actuated via steering wheel mounted paddles.
