Despite its name, it is not in any way related to the Tetris games. It is the first installment of the Puzzle League series. The game was later renamed Puzzle League.

A Japanese version of this rebranded title, Yoshi no Panepon(ヨッシーのパネポンlit. "Yoshi's Panepon"), was released in Japan for the Satellaview satellite modem service.
