Synopsis
  • Quakemaster holds Mackenzie Bock as a hostage when Renee Montoya, Harvey Bullock and Robin discover his hiding place. Quakemaster's henchmen point their guns to Bock and demand that the cops drop theirs. Robin talked to Quakemaster and dared him to call him by his name. Quakemaster refused to say the words "Robin" and "Batman" and he told his henchmen to kill them all. Mackenzie Bock used his chair to knock his captors and gave the opportunity for Bullock and Montoya to shoot them. Montoya and Bullock freed Bock and they decided to search for Jolene Relazzo while Robin and Bock go to find Quakemaster. Bullock and Montoya found Relazzo and she was glad to see that someone came to rescue her. Robin and Bock found Quakemaster and discovered that he was just a puppet controlled by Arnold Wesker, the Ventriloquist. When he found himself cornered, Wesker dropped Quakemaster and took Scarface from a chest. Wesker attacked Robin and Bock with a gun and he ran away from the place. Bock and Robin followed the madman across some electric lines. Wesker's henchmen tried to stop them but were shocked by the high voltage of the lines. Wesker was getting away and Bock decided to use his gun to stop him. Robin was afraid that Bock might kill Wesker but when Bock shoot, the bullet hit right through Scarface's head. Wesker fell to the ground and asked for a doctor to care for Scarface while Bock and Robin caught up with him. Batman found a dog on the street that lead him to a place where many people were trapped. Batman did his best and risked his own life to save the people. All the people was saved and the ambulances arrived later to help them, while a hurt Batman overlooked the scene. Nightwing arrived at Gotham City Hall in time to stop Wesker's henchmen from harming Mayor Grange and Commissioner Gordon. He struggled with them for a while but when there was just one of them remaining, the building started to collapse and Nightwing managed to escape from the falling building saving one of the thug's life. Oracle contacted Alfred at the remains of Wayne Manor to know what have been of their friends. Alfred told her that they were done and that Quakemaster was in police custody. Batman, Robin and Nightwing contemplated the devastation caused by the earthquake and they were just relieved that the worst part was over, at least for that moment.
