Richard entered politics at 18, becoming the Minister of Trade & Industry and holding that post for 19 years and 11 months, before becoming the first President of the rebranded "Great" republic. He was replaced as President by James Martin, becoming a Vice President in Martin's administration, and then retaking Presidency from Martin soon after.
