They were founded in 1902 at St-Damien de Buckland in the Diocese of Quebec by Rev. M.J.-O. Brousseau. Its object is to train orphans in industrial and agricultural pursuits, and the arts of colonizations. The mother-house is at St-Damien in Bellechasse County, Lac Vert, Province of Quebec, Canada. There were in the early 20th century six brothers and four novices.
