The Vindicator-class Stealth Interceptor was a modification of the Vindicator-class chassis. Instead of additional weaponry, like the standard Vindicator-class, it featured extensive stealth systems much like the StealthX. Its baffled Astral Ion Drives, coupled with its Stealth Ablative Coating, and other stealth systems allowed it to move unseen unless communicating or firing. The Vindicator-class Stealth Interceptor was reserved for special operation units such as the 82nd Airborne's Black Wolves and Shadow Hawks squadrons.

  • The Vindicator-class Stealth Interceptor was a modification of the Vindicator-class chassis. It was armed with four laser cannons and two ion cannons, and two concealed torpedo launchers, just like the Eta-2.5 Aeternus-class heavy interceptor, giving it rounded abilities in combat. The outer laser cannons were capable of training slightly to the left and right, 10o in either direction. The Ion cannons, which were positioned down the central medium of the ship, along the space in the hull, were fixed forward. And the concealed warhead launchers, were positioned along side the ion cannons. Each launcher held 2 compact torpedoes standard, but could carry up to 4 each. Though it featured the same weapons layout as the original Eta-2.5 the weapons could all fire at any time, when the ship didn't have its s-foils closed. While the Eta-2.5 had to fold its armor back to reveal its second pair of laser cannons and torpedo launchers the Stealth Vindicator had ports built into its hull that allowed all the weapons to fire, including the 10o training for the outer laser cannons on either side. As a safety feature, the pilot could pull an ejection switch, and the entire cockpit, along with the air supply and emergency beacon in an armored under area would disengage from the body of the fighter. The cockpit module could survive without its main body for 3 days, and its emergency beacon was able to access the HoloNet, and thus could reach the Templars in little time to alert them of the situation. The Vindicator-class Stealth Interceptor was reserved for special operation units such as the 82nd Airborne's Black Wolves and Shadow Hawks squadrons.
