Yartitp was born near Alater-ka, the Imerial built and only permanent underground city and spaceport on the planet Barab I. Even by Barabel standards Trip, as he liked to be called, proved himself particularly vicious from a very young age. While Barabels are famously mean-spirited, Trip took his maliciousness to a whole other level. This normally manifested itself in the form of direct physical confrontation, but Trip had no qualms with property destruction, traps, indirect fire, and even crueler tactics.

Yartitp was born near Alater-ka, the Imerial built and only permanent underground city and spaceport on the planet Barab I. Even by Barabel standards Trip, as he liked to be called, proved himself particularly vicious from a very young age. While Barabels are famously mean-spirited, Trip took his maliciousness to a whole other level. This normally manifested itself in the form of direct physical confrontation, but Trip had no qualms with property destruction, traps, indirect fire, and even crueler tactics. While earning prestiege for one's clan was paramount to Barabel society, Trip didn't believe that his triumphs in battle and hunting should be shared. At the age of 18 he decided to venture off planet, as the most prestigious Barabels had. But before he left, he murdered his entire clan. Rationalizing in his mind that, if he was the only one left no one could detract from the prestige he earned. Only his sister was spared from his genocidal act, for he could not bring himself to end her life. She went on to join another clan, effectively making Trip the sole living member of the Kast Clan. The prestiege of Clan Kast would live or die with him. His last act on Barab I earned him the monker "The Blight of Barabel". Trip had become the living proof of the legendary demons his people all feared. If a clan is completely wiped out, it is a common Barabel custom to never mention the clan by name again. This is done either out of respect or for fear of putting a curse on their own clan, depending on how and why the clan was destroyed. Only historians and storytellers can ignore this taboo without fear. In the case of the Kast clan, it is a little of both. After leaving Barab I, little is known of the Barabels exploits outside of Barab I, where the keep records of the prestiege of those who have left the planet. It is widelyy known that his employers never contact him face to face, and his jobs always include some form of brutality, even when it is unneccessary. Becoming a pirate was a logical career choice for him, he was always on the hunt. His prestiege continues to grow. It is widely believed that his mental capacity is deteriorating due to his ulta-violent tendencies and unpredictable behavior towards even his own species.Family
The Father's of most Barabels are widely unknown due to the circumstances of how they are born, as is the case with Trip. His mother Shikalla died with the rest of the Kast clan by his own hand. Trip's sister Sulka is the only other surviving member of his clan. He has had no contact with her since he left Barab I.
