Hamburger University is a 130,000-square-foot (12,000 m2) training facility of McDonald's Corporation, located in Oak Brook, IL, a western suburb of Chicago. Established by then McDonald's Corporation CEO and President Ray Kroc and future CEO Fred Turner, then Operations VP, this corporate university was designed to serve as a training ground to be used to instruct personnel employed by McDonald's in the various aspects of restaurant management, as well as food preparation "the McDonald's way". More than 80,000 restaurant managers, mid-managers and owner/operators have graduated from this facility.
