Synopsis
| - Chuma has poisoned Wonder Woman. As she lies paralyzed before him, he regals her with the tale of his mistress's origin. Years ago, he met Barbara Minerva and told her the legend of the planet god Urzkartaga and his bride the Cheetah goddess. Through the course of the tale, Barbara learned about the human sacrifice and the consumption of the Blood Vine - both of which were necessary to gain the Cat goddess' power of immortality. Barbara held Chuma at gunpoint and forced to perform the ritual on her. In order to satisfy the blood sacrifice, Barbara killed one of her own soldiers Tom Leavens. As the moon rose, Barbara transformed into the Cheetah. However, the ritual produced an unexpected side effect. By the light of day when her powers faded, her health began to deteriorate. Only during the nights of the full moon would she gain the power and vitality of the Cheetah. As Chuma concludes his tale, Wonder Woman springs forward. She had faked the symptoms of being poisoned in order to bide her time. Now at full health, she flies off in search of the Cheetah. Arriving at an Egyptian mosque, she is shocked to find several warriors surrounding her. More surprising is the fact that these warriors appear to be Amazons.
