Francisco Javier (Jiménez) Barrios (June 10, 1953 – April 9, 1982) was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Chicago White Sox (1974, 1976–1981). Barrios batted and threw right handed. He was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. In a seven-season career, Barrios posted a 38-38 record with 323 strikeouts and a 3.91 ERA in 718 innings. Barrios enjoyed a good winter season in the Mexican Pacific League and was ready to sign a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers for the 1982 season, when he died of a heart attack in his native city of Hermosillo at the age of 28.
