The Axl (also stylized as AXL) was the first yo-yo to be manufactured by Custom Products of Arizona. It was first released sometime in 1998. It is an all-aluminum yo-yo with a take-apart design, a Modified shape, and a ball bearing axle. Back in the 1990s, it also came included with a secondary metal axle sleeve, allowing the user to make his Axl into a fixed-axle yo-yo. In 2008, the Axl, along with all other yo-yos in Custom's line-up had started to use A-sized bearings. Also released was a gold-plated variant, the GoldenEye.
