In a 2010 interview, the president of Nickelodeon, Cyma Zarghami, confirmed that Michael Dante DiMartino and Avatar: The Last Airbender co-creator Bryan Konietzko were developing a new series for the network, called The Legend of Korra. The series premiered on April 14, 2012, and ran for fifty-two episodes over four books, split across two distinct seasons. In 2015, after The Legend of Korra had finished, DiMartino revealed that he was working on a series of fantasy novels called "Geniuses", which is set to be released in Fall of 2016. During the San Diego Comic-Con later that year, he also announced that he would be continuing The Legend of Korra in the form of comics, albeit without Bryan Konietzko.
