| - I copied part of the news story: ******************************** Police Discover Bloody Drain Room Site could prove to be monstrous crime scene KANSAS CITY -- What began as a routine search for illegal squatters in a decaying neighborhood has suddenly become one of the most chilling crime scene investigations this state — or country — has seen in years. Inside an abandoned warehouse property on Fergusson Avenue, police on Friday discovered a room that was liberally splashed with many layers of what appeared to be blood. Large amounts of coagulated blood also pooled around a large drain in the center of the floor. "At first, officers believed the scene to be a slaughterhouse, possibly an illegal one," said police spokesman Jay Esposito. "But preliminary tests suggest that some of the substance in the room is human blood, and of several different types and of varying age." Dozens of samples were sent out for DNA testing, but police warned that the volume of blood would make it difficult to ascertain how many people might have been involved, much less what happened to them in this room. Asked whether "the drain," as it's being called, could have been a quiet place for vampires to feed on abducted victims, Esposito demurred. "We're conducting an investigation, and until we know more it would be unconstructive to speculate," he said. "As of now, we are considering all options, human and otherwise, and assuming that this is a crime scene." Officers who spoke off the record because they were not authorized to speak publicly stated that they strongly believed the scene was the location of vampire-related incidents, and several detectives have begun opening cold case files of local missing persons. ******************************** Their assuming it's a crime scene?? What is wrong with these guys? I can't stop looking at these pictures. I find myself thinking, what if someone I knew had been there. Dragged in and more scared than they'd ever been in their life, they take a look around and they would know exactly what they were there for. How could we let this happen to people? I don't care what it takes. I don't care who is against us. I don't care what the law is. I am going to fight.
