The Emergency Wartime Government (Span: Gobierno de Emergencia para la Guerra) was an executive office that governed Argentina from November 1980, when the military ousted Isabel Perón in the Quiet Coup, until September of 1987 when they peacefully relinquished power to a temporary government as per agreements made in the mid-1980s. The purpose of the Emergency Government was to govern Argentina as a state at war, turning its economy to the full execution of war against Brazil, measures that neither allies Colombia or the United States ever took.
