| - The planet was about 103,630 kilometers in diameter, about 10 times as large as Coruscant, thus giving it the nickname "Giadros" by natives of Drosmand, roughly translated to Giant Drosman or Giant Planet, "Drosman" being the qalarian word for "planet". Early on, the inhabitants of Drosmand had no issues with fresh water, but as the lifespan of a qalari can be anything between 240 to 4000 years, the population rapidly grew, thus making way for the water crisis.

Being one of the few planets strong with the force, Drosmand had raised many Qualarian force wielders in its own name. Following neither the Sith or Jedi codes, the Qualari had their own laws and their own path. Both Jedi and Sith attempted to persuade the kings of Drosmand to let them build temples on the planet, but every offer and every threat were in vain. Drosmand was believed to be one of the strongest Force-sensitive planets in the entire galaxy, which made it a target for both Sith and Jedi, but all attacks and all attempts to gain access to the planet's surface resulted in death, thus causing most to not even go near it.
