Oroles was known to be a king of Dacia during the first half of the 2nd Century BC. He opposed the Bastarnae and succeeded and blocked their invasion into Transylvania. A Roman Historian by the named of Trogus Pompeius wrote about the king Oroles punishing his soldiers by making them sleep by their wives' feet, doing household chores, and only because they failed to defeat the invaders. Then, after they did beat the Bastarnae; King Oroles lifted the cruelty of such and they continued their jobs.
