- The USS Anzio (CG-68) is a Tinconderoga-class cruiser of the United States Navy. It is named after Anzio, Italy, site of an Allied invasion in World War II, named "Operation Shingle". It is featured in "Akula", the final level of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, where it contributed to low-altitude air defense of Washington, D.C. against an aerial attack committed by remnants of the New Russian Federation rebellion. During the battle, three rebel Flankers suicidally crashed into the Anzio after being crippled in combat, dealing heavy damage to the ship: the first one disabled its long-range weapons, the second one set its command facilities on fire, and the third and final attack caused the ship to sink.
