| - Cesar Bernal was a gang banger and a member of the El Salvadorian street gang, La Vida Mala which has 30,000 members and is a world-wide organization dealing in drugs and guns with the members even hiring themselves out as hit men. He is also responsible for killing the chapter leader, Miguel Sosa and taking over as the head of the gang in his place. When NCIS brought the gang members led by Tomas Zepeda in, the members soon discovered the truth behind what had actually happened with Leroy Jethro Gibbs bitterly stating that Cesar had played everyone for fools from the entire beginning and that Bernal would never get convicted in court, not with what NCIS had on him. A few hours later, Bernal returned to the area, unaware that his fellow gangsters knew the truth. Gibbs who had dropped him off quickly left the scene as Bernal met his fellow gangsters, arrogantly insisting that he had received more orders from "Miguel Sosa" and that NCIS needed to be taught some manners. Unfortunately, the other gangsters weren't thrilled and quickly rounded on Bernal. The next day, a Reporter (Iced) stated that Bernal's body had been found in a dumpster with evidence suggesting that Bernal had been shot at close-range, indicating that the gangsters after learning that they had been manipulated turned against Bernal and killed him, presumably in revenge for Bernal killing Sosa.
