Kurt Georg Heinrich Andersen (2 October 1898 – 9 January 2003) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Luftwaffe during World War II and a Brigadegeneral in the Bundesgrenzschutz. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Kurt Andersen was captured by British troops in May 1945 and was held until 1946. From 1919 to 1935 he also served in the German police, reaching the rank of Hauptmann.
