The MTM1 was introduced with EMG pickups in 2006. Those were replaced in 2008 with the new Seymour Duncan Blackouts pickups and a black finish was added to the lineup. In 2009 production moved from Korea to Indonesia. For 2010 the guitar is updated with Mick Thomson's signature Blackout pickups, the Seymour Duncan Blackouts EMTY. Also the black finish was discontinued. The MTM1 was dropped after 2011 being replaced by the MTM10 and MTM100, both of which have a body design inspired by the Glaive series. The RG-bodied MTM1 was reintroduced for 2015.
