Fritz Shuler was the down-time owner of Grantville Fine Foods. Shuler had previously researched up-time dining before opening his establishment. He'd attempted to create an authentic West Virginia dining experience, but he initially failed to attract sufficient up-timers to turn a profit. Finally, someone explained him the difference between fast food and fine food; he changed his menu accordingly, and his restaurant was booked to capacity in a single week.
