The Martian Republic was the government of Mars formed in 3000. The Martian Republic broke away from the Solar Consortium in that year in a mostly bloodless revolution, taking a good portion of the Consortium's military resources with it. Its military force was known as the Martian Legions. Displaced to its colony world of Deserata by the Moebius Effect, Mars was returned to its normal universe home with the help of King Colin Neidermeyer, in exchange for the Republic swearing allegiance to the Solar Consortium, which effectively ended up dissolving this state. The Consortium/Martian Republic was soon succeeded by the Solar Republic.

  • After the Apocalypse on Earth, Humanity succumbed to it’s own violence as forecast by so many people. It is unclear how, but is thought to have fallen to the radiation of a nuclear holocaust. As soon as Earth died, her colonies spread out across untold extrasolar systems suddenly lost their home country. Millions of Humans now must fend for themselves. Some colonies collapse under their own weight, but many survive and attempt to govern themselves. Mars, the closest colony to Earth, takes the brunt of the cataclysm, suddenly devoid of her biggest supplier of raw materials. Struggling to survive, the Republic was created and Mars joined the various Human factions that exist amongst the stars, merely contributing to the same factors that destroyed - disunion and a severe lack of cooperation.
