Some inmates feared being forced to stay in the same cell as him, as did the guards when they had to escort him somewhere. 382 was always being watched, and most of the time had guns pointed at him. Later paroled under the conditions that his rank would be restored only if he would serve the Alsakan Union and the Vicar until his dying breath, 382 was released from prison as a new person. He discovered that the Alsakan Union was now currently at war with the Republic, and joined the armed forces with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The ruthless nature he had acquired in prison showed in most of the actions he committed; executing enemies after they had surrendered, lying to the enemy with promises of peace so they would let there guard down, sacrificing some of his own soldiers he deemed "collateral damage" to the war, and even killing recruits he became very suspicious of due to their behavior.
