Plants are passively moved all the time by the wind and other agents. Plants may grow and, in doing so, appear to move. Mimosa pudica is able to very rapidly (in a matter of seconds) close its leaves in response to touch (such as that from a curious human). Dionaea muscipula is a carnivorous plant which may rapidly close, trapping its insect pray for precious nutrients (not food, but nutrients which are scarce in its area).
