To learn how to make each type of reward an Eastern scroll, in four pieces must be found by "scroll voyages". A scroll voyage will recover the next piece of the scroll selected on the ports interface (or Captain's log) when the ship is dispatched - if a completed scroll is selected the voyage is wasted. In addition to completing the scroll and having the required skill levels, creating reward items requires a quantity of trade goods. Trade goods can be earned infrequently from Standard voyages, but are most commonly earned from Special voyages with one of the twelve adventurers who frequent the port. To more efficiently make any of the reward items, it is beneficial to have both the skill level required to make the reward item and the skill level required to attract the appropriate adventurer. Trade goods cannot be earned from voyages to the Arc or the Skull.
