The Chief Legislative Officer of the East Asian Federation (Often called Chief Legislator) is the head of the legislature of the East Asian Federation and the Chief Executive's deputy. The position was created in the Federation Constitution, in 1976, and has existed over the life of the nation. The officer is appointed to the position by the Chief Executive from among currently sitting members of the Federation Board. The Chief Legislator ranks second in the East Asian Federation order of precedence. The current Chief Legislator is Park Chan-hae.

The officer is appointed to the position by the Chief Executive from among currently sitting members of the Federation Board. The Chief Legislator ranks second in the East Asian Federation order of precedence. The current Chief Legislator is Park Chan-hae. The Chief Legislator of the East Asian Federation is the leader of the legislative branch of the Federation Government, and oversees the creation of laws and policy created by the legislature, the Federation Board. The Legislator oversees debates of the Board in their meeting chambers in the Federation Center, and may vote on bills in the event of a tied vote. The Chief Legislator also presides over Board functions, such as the swearing in of new members or the appointment of State Officers to the executive. The Chief Legislator, like the Chief Executive, is entitled to an office in the Executive Towers of the Federation Center in Seogyeong, and offices for his or her staff, for the life of his or her term. Benefits and compensation valued at 35,000,000¥ annually are awarded to the Chief Executive, including a 4,250,000¥ salary, healthcare, medical services, and a security detail for personal and family protection.
