The Scooby-Doo Sin Cara is based on the second and current performer, Jorge Arias (Sin Cara Negro), also known by his own ring name, Hunico. In Scooby-Doo! WrestleMania Mystery, he has a great-great-great-grandfather named Sin Cara Grande. That may be based on the original performer, Luis Urive (Sin Cara Blue). Although promoted to be appearing in Wrestlemania Mystery, his caricature does in fact not talk as a part of the character's storyline. Arias, the current Sin Cara this character is based on, in fact speaks fluently in both Spanish and English, depending on his audience. In promotion for the film, Mattel released a two-pack action figure set with both Sin Cara and Scooby-Doo, and the March 24, 2014 episode of WWE Raw had him and Scooby-Doo (performed by a costume) coming out of the Mystery Machine before the former fought and won against Damien Sandow. During that time, Scooby watched from outside the ring.
