Xel Senn was a member of the Jedi Order during the Old Republic, taught as a youngling until the end of the Clone Wars. He was among the few from the Jedi Temple that was able to escape Darth Vader's onslaught, and successfully made it off-world thanks to underground Jedi supporters on Coruscant. He spent his following years in exile, learning from experience and the occassional run-in with another Jedi. It wasn't until the Jedi Order was restructured that he became a full-fledged Knight. It wasn't long until he transitioned into a Jedi Master.
