| - The following is a list of homeworlds and their respective inhabitant species.
- The Homeworlds were the three planets terraformed and inhabited by both Terrans and Neosapiens: Earth, Venus and Mars. These planets comprised the old human empire destroyed by the Second Neosapien Revolt led by Phaeton, as well as the core of Phaeton's own Neosapien empire. Being the political, industrial and economical core of the Solar System, the Homeworlds were the ultimate goal of both sides of the conflict. Whoever controlled them, controlled the entire known space.
- A Homeworld is a world that is a hub. Homeworlds contain several passages, each to a specific other world (i.e. Realms, Boss Realms, and Speedways) in the universe. In Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Spyro: Season of Ice, and Spyro 2: Season of Flame, passages to other worlds within the Homeworld take the form of portals. In Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly and Spyro: A Hero's Tail, worlds are accessed by various other, less mystical means within the Homeworld, such as jumping on a platform.

Homeworlds do not have the same structure as standard realms, but still have Gems and other collectibles to be found. In Spyro the Dragon, there are enemies in the Homeworlds. In Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, there are no enemies in the Homeworlds.
