On stardate 49190.0 (early 2372), Captain Wrightson attended the dedication ceremony for the Christchurchs relaunch. At the ceremony, he met his choice for the first officer position aboard the Cantabrian, Lieutenant Commander Samantha D'Angelo, and caught up with former Christchurch crewmember, Lieutenant Marie Senegal, also to be added to the Cantabrian team. (Star Trek: The Cantabrian Expeditions: "Catalyst, Part One"). Captain Victoria Buck was the commanding officer in this year. Named for Christchurch, the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand.
