The German Civil War was a civil and military conflict that tore post-war Germany apart from 1918-1926. It led to the establishment of the US-backed German Third Reich in the northwest of the country, with the remainder of the country broken up into a handful of British client states and protectorates. The sole exception refers to the rogue communist state of East Prussia, which managed to drive out Anglo-Polish occupation through guerrilla tactics by 1930.
