We first hear of the city of Aaron when Alma, rejected at Ammonihah, departs and takes his journey toward the city of Aaron about 82 BC ([[s:Book of Mormon/Alma#8 13|Alma8 13]]). Before Alma got very far, he stopped and returned to Ammonihah. The only other verse mentioning the city of Aaron is when the foundation is laid for the city of Nephihah around 72 BC. ([[s:Book of Mormon/Alma#50 14|Alma50 14]]). In the index of the 1989 edition (and others) of the book, it is acknowledged that there may have been two cities by this name.
