- Pips is in Rhuidean at the beginning of The Fires of Heaven. Mat rides him out of the city when he leaves with Rand and the others in FOH 7.
- On a pay phone when the money you have put in runs out there is a "pip pip pip" noise to warn you to put another coin in, otherwise you will be cut off.
- Pips has accompanied Mat throughout his travels. Pips has been to Tear, Rhuidean, the Jangai Pass, Cairhien , Maerone, Salidar, Ebou Dar, various towns and villages throughout southern Altara, Murandy, and Caemlyn.

It's hinted that he may have feelings for Crysta and Zak's interactions with her triggered his jealousy. In FernGully 2: The Magical Rescue, he was easily distracted by the human world. He ocassionally lost focus on his mission and played around with human items. Then again, since humans haven't been to Ferngully, he was fascinated by all that they have.
