While growing up, Draco was trained in combat at Grandall's Military Training Academy. His combat skills allowed him to participate on many great wars on his home planet.

This infused Draco with unlimited power, made him immortal and gave him the ability to transform into various godlike dragons; however, he was not yet able to properly control this power and was completely unaware of it up to a certain point. While growing up, Draco was trained in combat at Grandall's Military Training Academy. His combat skills allowed him to participate on many great wars on his home planet. Eventually, after Darth Vader's discovery of Earth, Draco's existence was found out by the Emperor, Palpatine. Under Palpatine's orders, Vader found Draco and had him join the Galactic Empire so that the Empire could discover how to control Draco's great power and, along with Vader's new weapon Soul Edge, use Draco as a tool to wipe out the Rebel Alliance.
