Worldwide, X-Men: Days of Future Past earned $262.9 million during its opening weekend, which is the highest worldwide opening weekend for an X-Men film. As of October 2, 2014, it has grossed $233,904,517 in North America and $512,124,166 outside North America for a worldwide total of $746,028,683, making it the highest-grossing entry in the X-Men film series. In North America, the film earned $8.1 million from Thursday night showings, which is the highest late night opening for an X-Men film. It was also the highest-grossing film during its opening weekend, earning $90,823,660, making it the second-highest opening weekend of the series behind X-Men: The Last Stand. During the four-day Memorial Day weekend, it earned $110,576,604. The audience was 56% male and 59% were older than 25.
