At average speed, one can do about 60 trips to the nature altar via the Abyss per hour, using the amulet of glory to teleport back to Edgeville, and using the tool belt items to mine through the rocks in the abyss. You need to recharge your pouches every 7 to 9 trips, to prevent the giant pouch from degrading. Assuming all pure essence is bought on the Grand Exchange for coins each, you can make coins per hour using this method. If you have completed Hero's welcome you are able to make 5% more runes, resulting in about 455 additional nature runes per hour.

  • At average speed, one can do about 60 trips to the nature altar via the Abyss per hour, using the amulet of glory to teleport back to Edgeville, and using the tool belt items to mine through the rocks in the abyss. You need to recharge your pouches every 7 to 9 trips, to prevent the giant pouch from degrading. Using the small through giant Runecrafting pouches and an Abyssal titan, you can hold up to 74 essence per trip, resulting in a profit of coins per trip. This assumes at least level 91 Runecrafting -- without making two nature runes per essence, the profit from this moneymaking method decreases dramatically -- and the use of an Abyssal titan. The time it takes to bank can be significantly reduced if quick presets are used. Note that it is possible to include your familiar's inventory to the preset, making it possible to fill your inventory in one go, as you refill your pouches by right-clicking them in bank and then using the preset option. A massive pouch allows even more runes, although it requires 1,000 Runespan points and degrades into dust. In addition, the Infinity ethereal outfit can store 12 essence for a profit of coins per hour The Mage of Zamorak is located in low-level wilderness, near the source of the River Lum. This is a fairly safe area, but there might be player killers so it is advised not to take expensive items on the trips to the abyss. The best setup would be cheap but protective gear. Remember that if you use a demonic skull everyone can attack you, regardless of their combat level. Inside the abyss, the creatures there will be aggressive and might do fair amounts of damage. See Abyss#Strategy for more information on how to navigate the abyss. Once inside, enter the nature rift and craft the essence in your inventory and your pouches. Teleport back to Edgeville with an amulet of glory and repeat. Assuming all pure essence is bought on the Grand Exchange for coins each, you can make coins per hour using this method. If you have completed Hero's welcome you are able to make 5% more runes, resulting in about 455 additional nature runes per hour. Completing the Wilderness Tasks is also helpful. All versions of the Wilderness sword provide infinite free teleports to Edgeville, and the Wilderness sword 3 and above give a chance for the Mage of Zamorak to teleport the player directly to the centre of the Abyss, thus saving time and further increasing the profit per hour. With lesser familiars, you'll be reduced to 3960 or 3660 essence respectively. Abyssal lurker: Abyssal parasite:

At average speed, one can do about 50 trips to the nature altar via the Abyss per hour, using the amulet of glory to teleport back to Edgeville, and using an equipped pickaxe to mine through the rocks in the Abyss. You need to recharge your pouches every nine trips, at the Dark mage, to prevent the giant pouch from degrading. Using the small through giant Runecrafting pouches, you can hold up to 54 essence per trip, resulting in a profit of - coins per trip . This assumes at least level 91 Runecrafting – without making two nature runes per essence, this is not as good a money making method. The Mage of Zamorak is located low-level Wilderness, near the source of the River Lum. This is a fairly safe area, but there might be player killers, so it is advised not to take expensive items on the trips to the Abyss. The best setup would be cheap but protective gear . Use of weight-reducing clothing and abyssal bracelets is also recommended. Falador shield can be useful to negate the loss when killed by a player, as it can recharge prayer instantly which can be used to activate Protect Item. Inside the Abyss, the creatures there will be aggressive and might do fair amounts of damage. See Abyss#Inside the Abyss for more information on how to navigate the Abyss. Once inside, enter the nature rift and craft the essence in your inventory and your pouches. Teleport back to Edgeville with an amulet of glory and repeat. A ring of dueling is optional, but it helps in case players forget to swap out an exhausted glory for a charged one. If all the glory teleport charges run out, however, teleport to Taverley or Burthorpe with a tab or games necklace, and recharge the amulets in the Fountain of Heroes. A Charge dragonstone jewellery scroll can be used as a much quicker alternative. Assuming all pure essence is bought on the Grand Exchange for coins each, you can make approximately 50*( - ) coins per hour using this method .
