| - A warrior race was a species whose culture was rooted in warfare. Though they possessed little sympathy for others, they understood the importance of family. (TAS: "Yesteryear") They were not afraid of death in combat; some even considered it an honor. (ENT: "Broken Bow", TAS: "The Jihad") In 2269, Tchar bemoaned the loss of the Skorr's former status as a warrior race under the reforms of Alar, calling them "Slaves to the illusion of peace. Cowards, soft in our comfort". When he expressed his intentions to lead his people into battle again, Spock assured him that the Federation warrior races would fight back, killing most of them. This did not matter to Tchar, who relished "a noble death to win a great dream". He assured his companions that thought they had to die, he respected them for fighting valiantly. (TAS: "The Jihad")
