Nobody takes much notice of Mirage. Granted, a good part of that was because he couldn't even be seen until recently. He used his natural state of invisibility to rob banks (as a desperate cry for attention, maybe?) until Optimus Prime finally took notice of him and had him sent to Ratchet. Now, given the "gift" of permanent partial transparency, with the "special ability" to become fully apparent, Mirage can finally be seen... ...but pretty much everyone still ignores him, leading Mirage to complain endlessly about his sorry lot in life - not that anyone listens.

Thanks to Ratchet's tinkering, Mirage can now be seen completely solidly for up to six minutes. This doesn't help him as a thief, but does slightly help in his desire for acknowledgment. He can also hit a screw-head dead center from 200 yards with his armor-piercing hunting rifle. It shoots liquid-fuel-powered darts. He's very close to climbing a tower and using this high-powered rifle to finally make a name for himself. Mirage's unseen loneliness has cost him most of his sanity, and he would be dangerous if he wasn't so pathetic.
