The Celtic Pantheon was the collective gods worshipped by the people of Eire, Britannia, Gaul and most of Western Europe. They were also known as the Tuatha de Danaan or "Children of Danu." In ancient times, they presided on Earth as the rulers of the Ancient Counties of Ulster, Leinster, Connacht and Munster in Ancient Eire until they were driven from Eire by the Milesians during the Sixth Invasion of Eire. They preside in the other-dimensional realm of Otherworld which includes the realms of Avalon, Tir Na Bog and Annwyn, the Celtic Land of the Dead among others. Much like the Olympians, the Celtic gods often trafficked with mortals and produced half-immortal children known as Demigods. Not much is known about their origins, but according to myths, they were descended from the ancient ea

Not much is known about their origins, but according to myths, they were descended from the ancient earth-goddess Danu and the sun-god Belenus. Their son, Eochaid Ollathir (the Dagda), led the Danaans in the Fifth Invasion of Eire against the Fomore, the ancestral gods of Eire, and were victorious, but their champion, Nuadhu Airgedlamh, was not able to rule because he had lost a hand in battle. He relinquished the throne to Bres, who being half-Fomore turned Eire back to his father's relatives. The Danaans went to war once more with the Fomore and once again conquered Eire with the help of their champion, Lugh, driving the Fomore once more from Eire. It is not known how these events unfolded in the Xenaverse.
