Shev’la Orade was born on the Mandalorian home world, Mandalore, in 3955 BBY. He was raised by his Mandalorian parents, Burcyan and Ruusa Orade. His father was a Mandalorian mercenary who taught him how to fight and the essentials of being an independent contractor. Since Burcyan was a mercenary, the current galactic war took him away from home most of the time, leaving Ruusa, his non-Mandalorian mother, to raise him. For the short times his father did come home, Shev’la paid very close attention to his father’s teachings and took full advantage of his knowledge and experience.

abstract	Shev’la Orade was born on the Mandalorian home world, Mandalore, in 3955 BBY. He was raised by his Mandalorian parents, Burcyan and Ruusa Orade. His father was a Mandalorian mercenary who taught him how to fight and the essentials of being an independent contractor. Since Burcyan was a mercenary, the current galactic war took him away from home most of the time, leaving Ruusa, his non-Mandalorian mother, to raise him. For the short times his father did come home, Shev’la paid very close attention to his father’s teachings and took full advantage of his knowledge and experience. By the age of thirteen, Shev’la had passed his trials. He returned home to greet his mother. Upon walking in, he found his mother in tears and his father’s close friend, Ver’gebuir, standing near the doorway. Ver’gebuir then informed him of the news that his father had been killed during a recent battle. His father’s death didn’t come as a surprise. From day one of learning from his father, Burcyan had made sure to explain the risks of being a mercenary. Not less than a couple days later, his mother disappeared. Shev’la never discovered for the reason of her disappearance. Ver’gebuir had tried adopting him into his home, but Shev’la was finished with his family ties. He then took up the solitary life of bounty hunting. Shev’la worked with a group of other Bounty Hunters for a while, until leaving them for better profit. On one assignment, he was hired to hunt down a former member of the Exchange. He eventually found his way to the world of Althir, in search of his target. Shev’la tracked him to a secluded warehouse inside a forest. Upon entering the building, he found himself face-to-face with a masked figure in a black robe. It was a Sith. Behind the Sith were a couple of Mandalorians and the former Exchange member. As Shev’la was no match for a Sith, he dove out of the building and tossed a thermal detonator behind him, into the warehouse. Once Shev’la looked up behind him, he saw the Sith holding an outstretched hand toward the thermal detonator, causing it to stop in the air. The Sith then flicked his hand toward Shev’la and the thermal detonator flew to his feet. He was able to put enough distance between himself and the detonator before it exploded so that it only knocked him unconscious.
