Hayato Fūrinji is the captain of his high school's karate club. One day a beautiful girl with the name Kanae Hida transfers into his class and she seems to be interested in Hayato. He struggles a bit with this, because a martial artist should not waste his time with girls, yet he can't help but feel some kind of interest. Turns out she is not a regular girl, but a Kazamarimu - a shining person. They fight entities called Berserker who posses dead bodies and turn them into monsters. Kanae was interested in Hayato, because he is one of the few people (1 in 1 million) who have the same abilities as her and she came to scout him. Turns out she is not a regular girl, but a Kazamarimu - a shining person. They fight entities called Berserker who posses dead bodies and turn them into monsters. Kanae was interested in Hayato, because he is one of the few people (1 in 1 million) who have the same abilities as her and she came to scout him. When Hayato fails to activate the ether module sword she thinks that she got the wrong person, tells him that regular people should stay out of her business and leaves. Hayato thinks she should not be alone and might be in danger, so he runs after her. He was right and there is another Berseker around who attacks Kanae. Hayato fights that monster although it seems he's a regular human. In the end it is shown that he's a Kazamarimu after all, he activates the sword, kills the monster and saves Kanae.
