However he and a group of others soon began work on their own farm which they run communally and democratically. This politically active group often took part in acts of civil disobedience and, aged 17, Diaz Garcia faced trial in a juvenile court charged with arson after several petrol bomb were thrown at a bank during a riot. The prosecutions case and witnesses, however, were even more contradictory than the defence and the judge eventually dismissed the case. After returning to work on the communal farm Diaz Garcia met Ricardo Morago, a keen socialist and a worker on a nearby farm. Though their ideologies were different the two became friends and during a rally in Ciudad Darkuth met Diego Zanon. Although he did not play a major role in it's creation, Diaz Garcia was soon nominated as the newly formed Trabajo y Libertad's candidate for aggriculture and aged 23 is now the nations agriculture minister in the interim cabinet.
