  • The characters in this game are Werewolves from the context of White Wolf's Werewolf: The Apocalypse. While many similarities exist, these are not the werewolves of horror movies from the sixties. The Garou are a race of people, the last defenders in a doomed fight to save Gaia, Mother Earth. Many of the legends about werewolves are a reality here; most are not. For instance, silver does sting Werewolves, but they do not involuntarily change at each full moon. Players are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the news files here, or for more detail than we can provide, to seek out Werewolf: The Apocalypse, which is the source of the world we interact within. Also, feel free to ask other players if you are in doubt as to whether certain aspects are a reality or fantasy.

  • Concept formation is rare. A concept is not an opinion that is arrived at by the mind on receipt of fresh information based on past experience. Nor is it a thought which is the result of a mental endeavour to coordinate two or more facts. It is not even ideas which emerge out of several thoughts merging in a context. Of course, mental habits, constructions, preferences, prejudices do not constitute concepts either. A concept emerges in the speculative thinking Mind Level 1, when the organised ideas of one’s Mind are impersonally organised to arrive at a universal Truth. Examples of concepts:
  • Ebo The Friendly Centurion is a fictional character from ancient Rome. He and his many fanged lion Ibi have adventures in what was originally an idea for a children's TV program. Sadly, things did not go to plan as it was deemed too violent for younger viewers. Episode plots were generally uninteresting, and infallibly revolving around meeting a new person (arriving via an educational machine they have created known as T.A.R.M.O.S, an acronym of The Awesome Roman Machine Of Superness), who would try and "make learning fun". However, Ibi, or "the murderous lion" would eat the new character at the end in a spectacuarly gory and overly long scenario, whereafter Ebo would exclaim "Oh Ibi!". Only 9 episodes were made due to the show's spectacular lack of success, and unpopularity with the R.S.P
  • The real world is made of entities and every entity has attributes such as color, weight, size, etc. A concept is based on grouping entities that have the same characteristics but differs only in the value of those characteristics. For example all computers have a CPU but each CPU may differ in speed and performance. The speed and performance are omited measurements at the concept level but an instance of that concept has exact values. Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology by Ayn Rand

  • The real world is made of entities and every entity has attributes such as color, weight, size, etc. A concept is based on grouping entities that have the same characteristics but differs only in the value of those characteristics. For example all computers have a CPU but each CPU may differ in speed and performance. The speed and performance are omited measurements at the concept level but an instance of that concept has exact values. Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology by Ayn Rand In comparison with Delphi, speed is a property of the class and the different types of processing are the methods of the class. In general, when an object "does" something then its done by a method, when an object simply holds a value such as speed or color then that value is a property. When you create your first class you are defining a concept in Delphi. For example you have the concept of an FTP server. You know that you can log into a FTP server and that you can put files on it and retrieve files from it. In Delphi you would implement this concept by creating a class called, for example, TFTPServer (The naming convention in Delphi for classes is that you prefix them with a capital T). Login, PutFile, and GetFile become the methods of your class. An FTP server also has an IP address, this would become a property of your class. Your TFTPServer class would look like this: TFTPServer = class private FIP: string; public property IP: string read FIP write FIP; function Login(const AUserName, APassword: string): Boolean; procedure PutFile(const AFileName: string); procedure GetFile(const AFileName: string); end;

* Karl Marx arrived at such a concept about the means of production and the rights of labourers. * The idea that Americans achieve social success because they have developed individuality is a concept. Concept formation is not possible for all. It is possible only for the thinker who is capable of separating the facts from his sense impressions, new views from old opinions, emotions from his old understandings. Having exercised his intellect in this manner, his mind must be able to coordinate all the known facts, ideas, and understandings around a new situation. Then, if he is successful, a CONCEPT arises. None of the following examples qualify as a concept: * Mount Everest is a high mountain -- observed fact. * The Japanese are reliable -- opinion. * Democracy has become established in India – personal view. * One needs capital to start an industry -- widely shared belief. * After a sustained training, if one involuntarily resorts to an old phrase -- habit. * On the basis of an existing true situation, one imposes his own assumption -- mental construction. * Preference is simple, based on liking. * Prejudice is equally simple, based on a good or bad prejudgment. Examples of concepts: * Mahatma Gandhi conceived that non-violent resistance, which he called Satyagraha, would bring out the spiritual strength of India to win independence. His concept may be right or wrong, but it is a concept. * The concept of Englishmen is the good opinion of the world is more important than material gain or even being right. * That a good education is necessary for a good career is more than a belief, a belief upgraded into a CONCEPT.

However, it has a miniscule and effevescent cult following who insist on singing the theme tune during unrelated lessons and discussing Ebo's favourite food "crunchy jam", though none is known to actually exist.
