What sets the RG470XL apart from other RG models is its 27" scale length. It was the first baritone scale guitar that Ibanez produced, and is the only non-Prestige Series guitar to be made with an extended length. Other features are a Lo-TRS tremolo made by Takeuchi Manufacturing of Japan, HSH pickup configuration, and a Wizard II neck. Also, the fingerboard is made of a special rosewood with a long grain to offer an attractive appearance, and provides a strong, bright sound.
