- [Source] Alan Dean Foster est un écrivain américain né en 1946. Il a écrit plusieurs romans Star Wars dont les novélisations des épisodes Un Nouvel Espoir et Le Réveil de la Force sorti en 2016 en France. En dehors de Star Wars, Foster a écrit notamment la novélisation des trois premiers Aliens et a participé à l'écriture de "Star Trek, le film". Il écrit aussi sous le pseudonyme de James Lawson.

- Alan Dean Foster is the author of the Terminator Salvation novelization.
- Alan Dean Foster, born 18 November 1946, is a writer and novelist of science fiction and fantasy works. He was the writer of all ten of the Star Trek Log books, novelizations of all the Star Trek: The Animated Series episodes originally published by Ballantine Books in the 1970s. In 2006 he wrote new introductions for reprints published by Del Rey Books (an imprint of Ballantine). He was also the writer of the story that became the screenplay for Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

- Alan Dean Foster is an American science fiction and fantasy writer. A prolific author (and in some cases, ghostwriter) of movie novelizations, Foster wrote both the novelization of the 2007 Transformers movie and the prequel novel Transformers: Ghosts of Yesterday. The latter was originally to be written by David Cian, but Cian's version didn't meet Paramount's and Hasbro's expectations. Therefore, Foster was hired to rewrite Cian's 62,000 word manuscript.
