Shinpadzio were considered to be favourites by many, but their form had slipped before the match and the players had grown fat, addicted to junk food. Controversy marred the final as the Shinpadzio manager, Ronnie Dribble, stole Sonic the Hedgehog's powers and gave them to his players. They confidently walked out onto the pitch (as observed by commentator Alan) and went on to use Sonic's powers against their opponents. However, they were unable to control their gifts, sending them shooting way offside and crashing when attempting a Spin Attack. In this confusion, Sonic apprehended Dribble and Shinpadzio lost the match 22-0. Dribble was prosecuted shortly afterwards by the Shinpadzio chairman.
