However, when a rogue Hafsid killed Neapolitan King Angelo, Naples, French Algeria, Greece, and Sweden launched a massive invasion of the Hafsids and divided their territory amongst themselves. Naples got the Tunisian part in 1695. The Neapolitan government discriminated against Sunni Muslims since the beginning of the colony, however, very few converted to the Shia or Catholic religions. Unfortunately, Algerian missionaries began to encourage revolts against the Neapolitan government. This resulted in a massive genocide that killed millions. Luckily, the genocide eventually ended, and peace was restored to Tunisia
