A maze orb looks like a fortune-tellers crystal ball, but with a maze inside of it. A maze orb is quite simply a portable maze, a pocket plane of existence. The maze seen in the orb does not really exist inside the orb itself, the orb is merely the door. Destroying the orb will not destroy the maze, only the door leading to the orb. Destroying the maze from the inside may not destroy the orb itself, only sever the connection to it, since the door would not lead anywhere.

To enter the maze orb, one has to touch the orb and speak the password the orb's creator have given it, and the person touching it would then instantly be teleported inside. The inside of a maze orb is different depending on the orb, but most appears to be made up of a labyrinth of twisting cavern tunnels. Anyone inside a maze orb cannot be detected by scrying from the outside.
