- Broad Swords are lightswords found only in Valkyrie Profile.
- The Broad Sword is a scroll weapon that can be found in dungeon scrolls or obtained from the scroll merchant. It is a level 20+ scroll weapon, so you must be at least level 20 to obtain one. In the game, the Broad Sword has a large yellow handle and a thick blade. The blade has a hilly pattern and is very long. The Broad Sword is most common in its Mindfire and Flaming forms, but very uncommon in its Amethyst and Bloodrune forms.
- Its in-game description reads "Broad, double-edged sword. Good attack power but heavy." Like the Long Sword or the Baselard, the Broad Sword has the slow 5-hit combo. The Broad Sword can be only found in dungeons' chests, you cannot buy or invent this weapon. It's a low-tier weapon (Tier 3) : it'll gain 3 Synthesis Points (SP) per level-up.
- Broad Sword is the weapon that Dart starts out with. He trained with Master Tasman of Seles and went on a five-year journey with this very blade. This weapon can also be found in Hellena Prison.
- A Broad Sword is a One-Handed weapon occasionally dropped by Trolls. It has a range of one tile and adds six Weightpoints. They are generally ineffective and seldom a weapon of choice. The Blacksmithing skill (2) can be used to craft Broad Swords next to a forge. One Board and two Ingots are needed. At shops they sell for 50 Gold, whereas Poison Broad Swords sell for 100 Gold. From Blacksmithing Level 4 onwards GM Broad Swords can be crafted with the same material, that have a longer durability than regular ones.
- A Broad Sword is a Long Sword-class weapon available in all three games. In the first game it is bought in the towns Bilibin, Imil, Kolima, and Xian, and in the second it is bought in the towns Alhafra, Garoh, and Naribwe. Being a Long Sword-class weapon, a Broad Sword can be equipped on Isaac, Garet, Felix, and Piers. It increases the wielder's base Attack rating by 40 points. Its buy value is 1000 coins and its sell value is 750 coins.
