The Vennix Galaxy, known to the Tau'ri as NGC 300, is a galaxy on the edge of the Sculptor Group, located about seven million light years from the Milky Way. It has a diameter of 70,000 light years and is estimated to contain around 65 billion stars, it has one gravitationally bound satellite galaxy, named Koyila. It was the galaxy where a group of Ancients resettled at the same time that Atlantis headed for Pegasus. The galaxy is also one of several galaxies known to possess a functional stargate system, including; the Milky Way, Pegasus, NGC 3109, and the Celestis Galaxy.
